Ted Dhanik is president and CEO at engage: BDR and serves as executive vice president of business development. He is in charge of strategic marketing, sales and business development, client relationship management, and content acquisition at the company through a talented team of management and employees. He co-founded the company in 2007 with COO Kurtis Rintala.
Previously, Dhanik worked in strategic marketing at MySpace.com, where he worked closely with founders of the social network. During his five year period at MySpace, Dhanik was responsible for a wide range of projects, including developing a marketing strategy that helped launch the company in all major markets. His contribution to the company also included developing the MySpace Celebrity concept as well as other major MySpace brands.
Prior to his role in strategic marketing at MySpace, Dhanik was head of business development at LowerMyBills.com, a company in Santa Monica. He joined the company to create and launch its home equity product, and later helped revive the company’s poorest performing product. He also helped develop and sustain relationships with some of the firm’s most prominent partners.
Dhanik also served as head of business development at Nextag.com, where he was responsible for scaling the firm’s lead generation programs. Later, he played a major role in helping the company expand large enough to compete with Lending Tree and LowerMyBills.com.
Dhanik is an advisor or active member of several industry-related boards. He is a member of the board of directors of Fighter, and is a member of the advisory committee of Start Engine, Schizo Pictures, and LottoGopher.
